The Grounds

Our retreat is surrounded by beautifully landscaped tree-lined grounds overlooking the Saint John river.

Large lawn areas are perfect for outdoor recreation and for hosting outdoor events. The setting is ideal for small to medium-sized business or social gatherings.

The large patio area is a favourite place for guests to relax and enjoy the view.

In the evening and early morning it's not uncommon to see a local family of deer browse by, or hear the haunting call of the loons on the river.

Wildlife is easy to find. For example, an active beaver pond and interpretive nature trail is within walking distance.

At the waters edge there are boating facilities for sailing, kayaking and canoeing. The river is calm, perfect for beginning canoeists. The river extends for miles with many places to explore.

We within easy walking distance of Mactaquac Provincial Park which provides 18-hole golf, a beach, sailing lessons and many winter activities such as cross-country skiing and sleigh-rides.
